Terms of Service & End User Agreement

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms", "Agreement") carefully before using the HastVault Android mobile application (the "Application"), developed and maintained by HastRadar Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd. ("HastRadar", "we", "our", or "us").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or accessing HastVault, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Application.

2. Software License & Scope of Use

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, HastRadar grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Application on compatible Android devices for your personal, non-commercial wealth and nominee management.

3. Offline Nature & Non-Custodial Architecture

You explicitly acknowledge and agree that:

• HastVault is not a bank, broker, or financial institution: The Application serves solely as an offline personal index and record-keeper.
• No Money Transmission: The Application does not hold balances, process fund transfers, execute trades, or initiate payments.
• Zero Cloud Connectivity: The Application does not declare internet permissions and operates entirely offline. HastRadar has no access to your entered data or database keys.

4. User Custody & Data Responsibility

Because HastVault operates without cloud accounts or remote recovery servers:

• PIN & Biometrics: You are solely responsible for memorizing your 4-digit PIN and securing your device's biometric sensors. If you forget your PIN, HastRadar cannot reset it.
• Encrypted Backups: It is your responsibility to export periodic .hastvault backup files via Settings > Backup & Restore and securely store them in your personal cloud or external storage.
• Loss or Damage to Device: In the event of device loss, damage, or factory reset without an exported backup, HastRadar cannot recover your records.

5. Disclaimer of Financial & Legal Advice

HastVault does not provide legal, financial, tax, or estate planning advice:

• Recording a nominee in HastVault does not replace official statutory nominee forms required by banks, insurance companies, or registrar agencies under applicable laws.
• Document safekeeping notes in HastVault do not constitute a legal will or probate certification under the Indian Succession Act or international inheritance laws.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Application—including trademarks, logos, UI designs, code, and graphical assets—remain the exclusive property of HastRadar Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd. and its licensors.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HastRadar shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, hardware failure, or inability to access records, arising out of your use of the Application.

8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts situated in New Delhi, India.
